4. Design of the blade head shape

The shape of the cutting edge directly influences cutting efficiency, chip evacuation capability, and blade stability. Common cutting edge profiles currently available on the market include:

Flat/Trapezoidal Teeth: The most widely used, offering high versatility.

Turbo Teeth: Featuring wavy or scalloped edges, providing excellent chip evacuation and heat dissipation. Suitable for dry cutting or cutting highly abrasive materials.

Narrow-slot teeth: Narrow cutting edge width reduces cutting resistance and conserves material, suitable for applications demanding high-quality cut surfaces and material economy.

Segmented block design: Divides the long cutting edge into multiple segments with intermediate slots, significantly improving chip evacuation and heat dissipation. This is a common design in modern high-efficiency saw blades.

The cutting head of a diamond saw blade constitutes a highly complex composite material system, whose performance arises from the synergistic interaction of diamond, matrix, concentration, grain size, and shape design. There exists no "universal" cutting head; selecting the correct head matched to the material being cut is paramount to ensuring efficient, economical, and safe cutting operations.
